How to Fix a Dead Renault Clio Key Fob

Day one: the Renault Clio comes with a key fob. It's a nice little feature that lets you unlock the car with just a push of a button.

What happens when your key fob doesn't work? This issue can be caused by a few different reasons. The most common reason is a dead coin battery which can be replaced within a few minutes.

What is the reason why my key fob does isn't working?

A key fob which is not working could have a variety of causes for it. Some of these issues are more complex and require professional assistance, while others are easy and can be solved by you. The most common reason for a key fob to stop working is an unresponsive battery. It's usually easy to fix and replace, and is an excellent place to start.

A key fob that is not able to work could also be damaged. Water damage, blunt force or scratches on the circuit could cause damage to the key fob. This kind of damage could also stop the fob from connecting to your car's receiver module. This issue can be corrected by reprogramming the key.
